Background & History

It was founded in 2002 by Douglas Mabunda with training and research as its sole purpose. Douglas strength is his legal background, training on capacity building courses and development of organizational culture in the public sector, Governance in Municipalities and he is an expert in education and skills development (accreditation with SETA's, facilitation, assessments, SDF and moderation).

D&D is owned by a historically disadvantaged Individuals and is a 100% BBBEE compliant. In recent years D&D was joined by Renee Mabunda as a shareholder with a strong administrative and financial background. She also possesses high level skills on project management, team building and coordination of projects. It currently having a woman shareholder and employs 70% Black women in its current projects.

Purpose & Objectives

- Provide a service to educators, NPO's, Public servants, Individuals as far as the upgrading of their qualifications and skills is concerned.
- To contribute to the development of South Africa through job creation, providing essential skills, life- long learning and conducting research for development.
- To develop and offer programmes as required by the Education Act, SAQA Act, and QTCO etc.
- To deliver an outcomes-based education after which learners will be able to demonstrate and apply their newly acquired skills.
- To complement the National Skills Development strategy in cooperation with the Department of education.
- To help in building career pathways for learners.
- To render HR Support Service

- To ensure that D&D's programmes are Nationally and Internationally compatible.
