Class Description
PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION
Purpose:
The Qualification will provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to work in a water and wastewater reticulation services department. The competencies developed through this qualification will enable the learner lead a team in the maintenance, operation and construction of water and wastewater reticulation systems. The core and elective sections of this qualification accommodates for learners to specialise in water or wastewater reticulation services or both.
Qualifying learners are able to:
- Demonstrate communication skills at supervisory level.
- Ensure the implementation and assurance of health, safety and environmental systems.
- Lead a team in the operation and maintenance of water and waste water reticulation systems.
- Lead a team in the construction of water and waste water reticulation systems.
